I. Mobile phones can be divided into two types according to structure, and thus most mobile phone mould plants make their mobile phone moulds and define their prices according to these two types. However, PDA or intelligent mobile moulds have some differences.

1£®Bar phone type 2£®Flip phone type
A£®Front and back covers of the flat type are called separately---Front Housing and Rear Housing.
B£®Folder type has two parts---Base and Folder.
Folder part---- The cover installed with LENS is called as the Folder Front Housing
The cover stuck with label is called as the Folder Rear Housing
Base part---- The cover installed with word keys is called as the Base Front Housing
The cover where the battery is installed is called as the Base Rear Housing
In the fabrication of mobile phone mould, the housing material is normally ---- ABS+PC. These two kinds of material have different advantages and disadvantages individually. PC material exhibits poor fluidity and good mechanical property. ABS has good fluidity, good electroplating and painting effect, but its mechanical property is not so good as that of PC material. If electroplating is required, then PC content in the material shall not exceed 30%£¬ because PC will impair adhesion performance after electroplating.

Battery cover

The material is normally pc + abs also.
There are two kinds of type: integral type, i.e. battery cover is combined with the battery; separated type, i.e. the battery cover and battery are separately two parts.
The connection mode of mobile phone mould structure: Connect with the back housing through snap + push button£¨add one element£©or connect with UT welding.

II. Except that the front and rear housing, the mobile phone is composed by the following components:
1£® LCD LENS ¡ª It is a kind of optical glass used to protect LCD. It is a kind of glass or other transparent material polished or mould with two opposite surfaces, one or both of which are curved surfaces.
Material: Normally PC or pmma; sometimes glass. Many external lens of current mobile phone moulds adopt IMD technique.
Connection method£ºAdopt snap+ back gel to connect with the front housing, or connect with the front housing with only back gel.
2£® Press keys can be classified into three kinds according to different materials:
1£© Complete RUBBER£¬low price, direct silica gel mould sinking or soft gel injection mould.
2£© Complete PC£¬
3£© RUBBER+PC.
3£®Dome is distributed under the press keys, press it then the circuit under it is connected.
Dome can be classified into two types according to different materials Mylar domeºÍmetal dome£¬the former is polyester film, the later is metal foil. Mylar dome is cheaper.
Connection method£ºStick to PCB directly by glue
4£® PCB board--- PCB boards we adopt are normally double sided boards, i.e. copper wires are placed on both sides of the intermediate layer. Thus parts can be placed on both sides of PCB board. These parts include capacitor, resistant, IC, CONNECTOR, LCD, Shielding Case, Metal Dome.
5£® Aerial
It has two kinds: exposure type, hidden type. Normally the former has a better communication effect£»
It is standard part for selection.
Connection method: A metal shrapnel is fixed on PCB, and the aerial can be inserted between the two shrapnel. Or one end of the metal shrapnel is fixed to the aerial, the contactor on the other end is pressed on PCB.
6£® Speaker, Microphone, Buzzer are three devices relating to sound. Sound holes shall be made on the housing, thus we shall consider their positions before design.
Speaker£¨Receiver Speaker£©
The element to receive sound during conversation. It is standard part for selection.
Connection method£ºNormally wrapped by sponge then fixed on the front housing (there are sound holes on the front housing); connect with PCB through contactors on the shrapnel.
Microphone
The element to receive sound during conversation. It is standard part for selection.
Connection method£ºNormally fixed on the front housing to connect with PCB through contactors on the shrapnel
Buzzer
Ring generating device: It is standard part for selection.
It is fixed on PCB through welding.
7£® Ear jack
It is standard part for selection.
It is fixed on PCB directly through welding. Appropriate holes shall be made on the housing.
8£® Motor
The motor equips with an eccentric cam to provide vibration. It is standard part for selection.
Connection method£ºSome are fixed on the rear housing, some are fixed on PCB. DBTEL normally uses long rib to fix the motor on the rear housing.
9£® LCD¡ª We send design requirements directly to the manufacturer
There are two types of fixing method£ºa. Fix in the metal frame£¬the metal frame is clamped on PCB by 4 protruding pins; b. There is no metal frame, connect directly with PCB: contact directly through the conductive rubber£»Through parallel line: insert the parallel line into the socket on PCB.
10£® Shielding case
Normally pressing parts, thickness: 0.2mm. Function: static electricity prevention, and aunti-radiation.
11£® Other exposed elements
Test port
Direct selection, welded on PCB, appropriate holes shall be made on the housing
SIM card connector
Direct selection, welded on PCB, appropriate holes shall be made on the housing
Battery connector
Direct selection, welded on PCB, appropriate holes shall be made on the housing
charger connector
Direct selection, welded on PCB, appropriate holes shall be made on the housing
12£® LED to provide background light for mobile phone can be classified into two groups: one group (normally 2-6 pieces) on LCD to provide illumination of display screen; one group (normally 4-6 pieces) on keyboard to provide illumination for keyboard.
Current mobile mould plants usually divide mobile phone moulds into three levels: high grade, medium grade and low grade. High grade mobile phone mould normally costs 300,000 yuan RMB with high quality and precision requirements. Thus it has stringent requirement to equipment of mobile phone mould plants. Nowadays, there is little mould plant possessing complete coordinated production process.
