III. Define die mould quantity
of plastic product and selection of mould material
1. Selection principle
of die sinking quantity of product:
a. Die sinking of transparent and non-transparent products shall be done
separately.
b. Die making for with special requirements (such as the product is different
color ) shall be done individually.
c. During arrangement molds with similar dimensions shall be placed together,
if product size is too big or has too many lines, die making shall be
done individually. Unless very small product, there shall be not too many
die cavities during arrangement.
2. Selection of mould steel ( steel used for plastic die steel)

Applications: It is used for plastic molds with high corrosivity such
as PVC, clear plastic and plastic film with high polishing requirement.
Die steel features: This kind of steel has high purity, good machining
quality, and molds manufactured by this steel shows high precision and
deformation-free permanently. Its high toughness is suitable for fabrication
of large size and complicated die set.
